It’s not just our minds that tell us stories.
Our bodies are incredible storytellers too.
Every ache, pain, sickness and dis-ease is the manifestation of our life experiences and lifestyle choices.
The body holds our unhealed traumas, our unprocessed emotions, and it parades the relentless wear and tear of life like a badge of honour.
It’s not just the physical scars that tell the story of a sports accident, it also displays the emotional scars too.
Our bodies speak to us all the time and constantly narrate the story it needs us to hear in order to restore balance and harmony and begin to heal again.
The shoulder pain may be telling us the story of the burdens we are carrying, or where we are ‘shouldering’ the blame or responsibility.
Our neck strain may be telling us to stop looking back and concentrate on the future.
Stomach ache could be relating to us the things we keep telling ourselves we can’t stomach anymore.
It’s all there.
The stories of our life, narrated to us by our bodies.
It’s miraculous really.
We just need to learn to tune in and listen more.
